iPhone 5 Soon To Arrive By October 13 or 14?

Posted by iunlock under News on Friday Sep 23, 2011

Yes, this entry seems that we have a rough date for the release of the iPhone 5. And this would surely involve a huge media event for Apple as everyone is looking forward to the launch of the iPhone 5. Everyone just cannot wait to know when we all can get our hands on the fifth generation phone of Apple which will be called the iPhone 5. Many say that it could launched by October 13 or 14 only if Apple would unveil it by October 4. According to an analyst named Brian White, the period between the unveiling and the release of the said phone will only just be short especially with all the delays that have happened already.

There were also reports that this would take just a few weeks. Fortune’s Philip Elmer-Dewitt also released a table which showed the lag times between the process of releasing and unveiling of a brand new gadget, whether it is the iPad or the iPhone. The very first iPhone was released after 171 days right after its unveiling. There was also the iPhone 3G released after a total of 32 days. The iPhone 3GS after 11 days, the iPad 1 after 66 days, the iPhone 4 after 17 days, and there’s the iPad 2 only right after 9 days.

If you would base this one on the other lag times, then the iPhone 5 could be released by October 13 or 14, the earliest it can get. It has been common with Apple too to launch a brand new iPhone right on a Friday or Thursday with a lag time of about 9-10 days. Hence, it would seem that Apple will start the pre-orders for the iPhone 5 right after the media event.

If you happen to be not a resident of US, Germany, Japan, France and UK – which are the countries who normally get the iPhone units ahead of time, then you may be wondering now when will you be able to get your hands on this brand new iPhone. The good news is that it could just mean the waiting time would just be short. Brian White also assumes that the international release of the 228 carriers for Apple will surely be speedier than it did for the iPhone 4 with China playing a more important role as usual.

Just take note that these are all just speculations still that are based on the previous lag times observed in the past. So do you plan on pre-ordering an iPhone 5 sooner than the others? Or will you wait first for the reviews to start coming in before you even order your own unit?

Leaked Photos Of Camera Module Assumed For A Thinner iPhone 5

Posted by iunlock under News on Thursday Sep 8, 2011

There have been leaked photos of various iPhone parts that are claimed to be the parts for the upcoming next generation iPhone. What are included in the photos would be the high resolution camera module that comes with a LED flash plus an audio cable. It is deemed different from the camera module of iPhone 4. It was seen as round, thinner and even carries a lot more of megapixels according to the Gree-iPhone.com site.

In the site, there were also photos of the audio cable which only says that Apple is having plans to change the layout of the buttons, if this would turn out to be what we assume it to be. The audio cable’s image comes with a headphone jack with connections for the switch of mute and vibrate, plus the up and down volume buttons. What can be seen as strange on the image is that the volume buttons can be found on the right part instead of the left section.

There is some wide speculation that the iPhone 5 will come with an 8-megapixel camera and it is also thinner than the iPhone 4. Hence, this makes it possible that the camera module seen is made for the iPhone 5. However, the change seen on the layout somehow contradicts the case designs for the iPhone 5. Other assumed parts for the iPhone 5 also include the headphone jacks, proximity sensor flex cable and the lens replacement.

However, with all the many contradicting rumors spreading around, it is still quite hard to confirm which of the leaked parts are definitely made true for the coming iPhones. What do you think? Could these be real or just fake parts?
