There were recent reports that Apple had already began testing their iPhone which has 4G capacity. It was even Engadget which received a picture that reveals AT&T installing the LTE network equipment in one of the leading Apple Retail shops. What makes it all interesting is looking at the actual equipment with one piece supporting only the AWS and 700MHz bands. Both of these AT&T plans will use the LTE network once the T-Mobile acquisition finally happens. There have also been some news that there are Apple Stores in some regions who are working hard into increasing their number of staff right on the sales floor by around 30 percent. This is of course not the usual way they do things.

According to the experts of the industry, it is unlikely that they will launch the 4G LTE iPhone within this year since the implementation of the LTE networks has still not yet come to fulfillment. It will be Verizon and AT&T who are to complete the entire rollout of this nationwide 4G LTE network come 2013. There are news too that say a lot of executives of Apple have said that they are not willing to compromise when it comes to a lot of new designs. These are enforced of course by the current 4G LTE chipset generation. The chipmakers will be ST Ericson, Intel and Qualcomm which are to launch such next generation chips by the end of 2011. Hence, Apple is expected to launch this 4G phone by 2012.
