Greenpois0n for Mac is recently released by Chronic Dev Team to jailbreak iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad. Prior to the release of Greenpois0n for Mac, Chronic Dev Team already released Greenpois0n for Windows and Linux.

Greenpois0n is quite similar to Limera1n, which uses low-level bootroom exploit. Just like the Windows version, Greenpois0n for Mac works only on iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad. iPhone 4 users can use the Tiny Umbrella if you wish to upgrade your handsets to iOS 4.1 to preserve the base band and to unlock it with Ultrasn0w after jailbreaking it.

If you are a user of iPhone 3GS and you wish to unlock your phone. There is no need to upgrade your phone to iOS 4.1 as Chronic Dev Team will be releasing Pwnage Tool that can preserve the baseband while updating the iPhone to iOS 4.1.

Chronic Dev Team will add New Apple TV (2nd Generation) and iPod Touch 2G in the list of devices it Greenpois0n can support. Please remember that jailbreaking your device may void its warranty so proceed at your own risk.
