The New Features To Expect In The Coming iPhone 5 Include The Assistant
Posted by iunlock on Tuesday Oct 4, 2011 Under NewsThere have been some interesting details revealed on what can be expected from the fifth generation iPhone from Apple based on some information given by reliable sources. According to this news, iPhone 5 will come up with a much faster A5 chip, a more improved camera at 8-megapixel, 1Gb RAM, and the Qualcomm Gobi Baseband chips that are ready to support the networks of GSM and CDMA. But for many critics, the biggest point that would sell the brand new iPhone 5 will be its brand new software called the Assistant.
This new feature is powered by the artificial intelligence of Siri along with the speech recognition technology of Nuance. The New Dictation feature is also powered by the speech recognition technology of Nuance. According to Mark Gruman, one of the major elements of the Assistant would be its conversation view. Its system is set to speak back and forth so as to give the user the much needed information for the best results it can give. It enables then the user to hold a conversation with their own iPhone unit as if it is just another human friend that you have.
It can literally inform you by speaking that you have a scheduled meeting with someone today. It can also give you a quick preview of the calendar so as to confirm the rest of the appointments that you have scheduled. The Assistant is capable of sending email or even a short SMS to your contacts. It can also work well with the much rumored feature called Find My Friends as it is also integrated with the Wolfram Alpha, which is also considered as an online computational system of knowledge.
In addition to the Assistant feature, this new iPhone also has the Dictation. It lets you just tap the icon of the microphone that speaks and then the speech turns out to be text. This can just happen in even less than one second and it is amazingly accurate most of the time. The interface is also highly remarkable and blends into a design of the messages application of the iOS 5. We have always been excited with anything that has accurate systems that are based on speech recognition. And according to the various sources, the two new software features of the Dictation and Assistant render very specific results.
The Assistant would truly act like a genuine personal assistant that is based on your phone. It can interpret speech very accurately that you need not even have to speak slow just to make it clear for the application. You just talk to it like how you would usually talk to another person and it will already do its best to interpret the speech and render the most accurate of results for you. There are also news that the next generation iPhone would somehow carry the similar look of the iPhone 4.
What else do you want to see in the coming iPhone 5? Are you excited with these new features we have discussed?
