The iPhone Development Team Finally Releases the Redsn0w 0.9.8b5

The development team of iPhone has recently released the Redsn0w 0.9.8b5 that is fit for the iOS 5 beta 5 that can jailbreak the iPod Touch, iPad and the iPhone. It was Apple themselves who seeded the iOS 5 beta 4 to the developers of the development program of iOS over the past weekend. They have shared the relevant information on their blog.

This update has been their support for the beta of Apple’s iOS5 pointing it straight to the beta5 IPSW. You can only utilize this if you are truly a jailbreak application developer and if you also have a legal development account in Apple. For now, it is still tethered jailbreak.

It supports the iPod tough 3G, iPad 1, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch 4G. The Redsn0w 0.9.8b5 will support only the tethered jailbreak which could only mean that you have to connect it to the iOS device to your computer everytime you reboot. It is also perfect for the developers of the various jailbreak tweaks and other applications so that they can be tested and debugged for the iOS 5 beta software.
