Apple finally unveiled the iTunes 10.3 after some reported delays. This brings the entire iTunes to the beta version of the Cloud to both PC and Mac. It also comes with the feature of more automatic downloads and history of Purchase that was all rolled out for the devices that carry iOS. What’s more is that you can expect more books to be brought to the iTunes store.

The specifications of the iTunes 10.3 is at 75MB for the Mac OS and about 77MB for Windows. Here are more of the details of its brand new features.

  • You can easily buy any music using any device and download in automatic mode the copy to your own Mac and PC devices. You can also get to download your other past purchases without paying any additional fees. All of your purchases are made available at the store of iTunes found right on your Mac or in the iTunes application right on your phone. If your previous purchase is not anymore made available in the store, then you can no longer get it again.
  • They have also added books in the store which you can download automatically straight to your iPad or iPhone and even your iPod Touch.

What is so great about this version is its capacity to allow you to download even your previously purchases books and applications for as long as they are still made available in the iTunes gallery. You simply have to click on the link for Purchased menu.

Earlier this week, Twitter just released the latest version of their iPhone and iPad app or the version 3.3. One of its new features in this latest version that is meant for iPhone only is the Twitter’s Quick Bar, which is placed at the top of the Twitter timeline and displays the latest trends, including promoted trends. Some users are annoyed by this Quick Bar and coined it as DickBar as reference to Twitter’s CEO Dick Costola.

Let us make a rundown of the list of Twitter’s version 3.3’s new feature, Quick Bar or the DickBar controversy. If you are one of the users annoyed by this feature, there is also a way if you want to remove it.

The Quick Bar shows the user the trends and other important things without leaving your timeline. You can swipe the Quick Bar to the left or to the right to go through the trends. Here are the trends showed by the Quick Bar:

- Trends based on your location

- Cleaner, redesigned Tweet compose screen.

- Automatically shortens URLs. Just paste them in and they will only count as 20 characters, no matter how long they are!

- Autocomplete @usernames and hashtags

- Easier photo uploading

- Find friends using your phone’s contacts

- Improved DM conversation view, now works similar to SMS/Chat

- Cleaned up preferences

- Bug fixes

As mentioned earlier, some users are annoyed with this feature of the version 3.3. Unsurprisingly, it has its own hasktag, which is #dickbar. The management of Twitter decided not to disable Quick Bar, which seems an obvious design choice while rolling out such as major change, we think it’s a business decision by Twitter. Sean Garret said in a tweet that; “Twitter submitted an update to Apple yesterday for our iPhone app. It fixes some bugs & makes it so the quickbar doesn’t overlay on Tweets.”

If your iPhone is jailbroken and you are annoyed by the Quick Bar, chpwn has released a tweak called Twizzler on Cydia, which removes the Quick Bar from version 3.3.
