There are times that we want to share the joy of listening to a song to our friends. Now, it is possible to send songs from your iOS device via email using new app Song2Email.
Developers Rocha Software released a new app that allows users to send songs from iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch through email. The new iOS app is currently available in the App Store. Through this app you can easily send songs from your music library to your contacts through electronic mail.
Apart from the aforementioned functionality of the app, Song2Email also includes the following features and capabilities:
1. A number of songs can be sent in a single email.
2. Song2Email works in WiFi or 3G.
3. When you send songs, all of the metadata like song/artist names and cover art left intact.
4. Recipients of your email will be able to access the songs on their computer as well as on their different mobile devices.
5. Song2Email is a universal app for iOS devices (iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch).
The app works according to its advertisement. Although the app’s interface follows a simple and minimalist design, it is very functional. If you are one of the people who have used the Apple storage – iCloud, the songs must be downloaded in your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch to be able to attach it and send it via email.
The maximum size that can be attached is 20MB on the iPhone 4S, 4 and iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4th generation and iPad/iPad 2, and 10MB on older devices.
This particular app resembles Song Sender, which is a native app developed by Erica Sadun in 2007. Song Sender is one of the app developed before Apple created the App Store. Based from its name, Song Sender also allows users to send songs to other via email. It is quite surprising that Apple approved the app as many would think that this could create rifts between music labels and companies due piracy issues.
Song2Email can be downloaded in the App Store for a fee of $0.99 and there is a discount offered in limited time.
