On March 11, Apple will release the iOS 4.3 and seeded iOS 4.3 GM to developers of iOS developer program few days back. If you are wondering if this latest iOS can be jailbroken, then this must be good news for you since the iOS 4.3 GM has already been jailbroken using PwnageTool 4.2 that iPhone dev team had released to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1.
The final version of the iOS 4.3 will be released along with Apple’s second generation of iPad. The new iOS 4.3 features the Nitro Javscript engine from Safari on OS X, new iTunes Home Sharing features that let you play content from desktop iTunes over WiFi, and the updated suite of AirPlay features from the betas — including the ability for App Store apps to share audio and video. Apple is also finalizing the new option that let you assign the side switch to either rotation lock or mute, and its adding Personal Hotspot support. There is also those rumored iOS versions of Photo Booth and FaceTime for the new cameras.
The unofficial custom bundles for iOS 4.3 GM for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPad that need to be used along with PwnageTool 4.2, Universal Ramdisk Fixes and tetheredboot utility to jailbreak iOS 4.3 was released by DjayB6.
Recently, the jailbreak is tethered for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (new bootrom) and iPad. iPhone 3GS (old bootrom), on the other hand, is untethered by the jailbreak. Cydia also seems to be work on iOS 4.3 perfectly. It is still unsure if iPhone Dev team or Chronic Dev team will release an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3 when it is released. For the mean time, iPhone Jailbreakers and Unlockers should avoid upgrading to iOS 4.3.
