Leakages Suggest iPad 3 Looks like iPad 2 with Improved Features

As expected of Apple, Inc., the minimalist design will still prevail in the next generation of iPad but it features will be boosted.
The new iPad’s body will be thicker than its predecessor. There will be around 1mm increase. On the physical aspect, it seems that the casing will bear some difference from iPad 2.
At the back of the device, the camera in the upper left corner has become bigger. This will be noticeable, especially when placed alongside the iPad 2. The new camera hole is silver-ringed, and does in fact look the same size as the iPhone 4S’s much-improved rear camera system without the LED flash.
The rumors said that Apple will be going for a smaller screen. However, based on the photo, Apple will be sticking with its standard screen size. However, it is expected that the iPad 3 will be sporting a screen with higher resolution and Retina Display like the iPhone and iPhone 4S.
The switch, button, speaker and other accessories located on the side edges are all the same, as are the headphone and Dock Connector ports. In other words, last year’s accessories should generally work properly with the new model, which is great.
There is no certainty yet that Apple will release the iPad 3 as the device could be named as iPad 2S or iPad 2HD. This could be a similar case with the iPhone wherein a lot of people expected to see the iPhone 5 but Apple released the iPhone 4S.
As expected from the Cupertino-based company, there has been no confirmation of the internal changes made in the upcoming device. The shell shown in the photo seemed to be manufactured a few months back. Thus, there could be more changes integrated in the device since the shell was manufactured.
If Apple will follow the schedule, the iPad 3 will be introduced to the public in the next few months. There are speculations that the next generation of iPad will be released on Steve Jobs’ birthday.

A few days ago, iPhone hacker and developer pod2g revealed exciting news that he may be able to release an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 and users were eagerly waiting for an update.
The iOS developer published a recent post providing more details and information about the untethered jailbreak in the format of question and answer. Below is a copy of the blog post of pod2g.
How could pod2g have an untethered 4S and dev teams still haven’t released tools to achieve this at home?
The exploit I used to inject the untethering files to the 4S relies on having a developer account, and can’t be released publicly.
It’s the same reason why @MuscleNerd has an iPad 2 tethered jailbreak but couldn’t distribute it.
So, we need to find a distributable exploit to remount the system partition read/write and to set Corona files at the correct places.
Why A4 version of Corona was easier to release?
Because a tethered jailbreak is a good way to install Corona!
Why don’t you do a tethered jailbreak then?
A tethered jailbreak also relies on an exploitable vulnerability that we still haven’t found yet!
pod2g, release this stuff quick, [your insult here], I’ve waited enough now.
If I could, I would!
Initially, pod2g confirmed that his version of untethered jailbreak for the new mobile operating system iOS 5 will not work with iPhone 4S and iPad 2 because the devices both have A5 processors. iOS hacker and developer pod2G said that he is working on the untethered jailbreak for the latest generation of iPhone. In a post he published, he wrote, “The untether fails right now because I’m having processor cache issues. I’m close, but I can’t figure out what happens. It certainly has something to do with the Cortex-A9 cache management. I could sort it out quick, it’s a matter of chance. I’ll report you my progress tomorrow.” However, iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users were still hopeful of the new improvements on the untethered jailbreak.
