When Apple launched the iPhone 4S, it also offered the AppleCare+ for iPhone for $99 that gives users two years of technical support and one year of hardware repair coverage that you get when you buy an iPhone. Apple may offer the same AppleCare+ for the new iPad 3.
When you buy a unit of iPhone 4S, you will get a 90-day of the aforementioned technical support and repair coverage. AppleCare+ replaced AppleCare that was available for $69, which includes a coverage for two incidents of accidental damage due to handling, with a deductible of $49 as service fee for replacement of devices. The replacement device could be new or refurbished.
According to MacRumors, Apple is planning to offer the same for the new iPad 3, which will replace the current AppleCare for iPad for $79. 9to5 Mac seconds the report with information from their sources that AppleCare+ worth $99 will be launched today.
While the iPad is not as susceptible to damage like the iPhone due to its glass back panel, it is still prudent to avail the AppleCare+ to be ready for the worst case scenario.

There are no major changes in the leaked photos of the front glass and digitizer of the next generation of iPad.
Based from the leaked photos that went viral on the internet, the public was able to confirm the following information:
• iPad 3 will look like iPad 2.
• iPad 3 will be sporting a 2048×1536 Retina Display.
• iPad 3 will have a more tapered back casing.
• iPad 3 will have a slightly thicker design compared to previous generations.
• iPad 3 will be powered by Apple’s improved A5X system on the chip.
Apple.pro first showed the leaked photos of what it claimed to be the front glass and digitizer of the new iPad 3.
According to MacRumors, the photo of the front glass is quite similar with that of iPad 2. The main distinguishing feature of the part is the relatively long ribbon cable extending up the side of the display as opposed to a shorter cable with a sideways orientation seen in the iPad 2. Some of the other features of iPad 3 are same round home button seen in all iOS devices so far and a hole in the top bezel to accommodate both the front-facing camera and the ambient light sensor.
Although the photo may turn out to be fake, it is quite amazing to see that the supposed parts of the iPad 3 are leaking that seem to strengthen the rumored release of the new generation of iPad on the first week of March.
