Limera1n Free iPhone Unlock & iPad Unlock

The signature “black drop” of Geohot had turned into “lemon green” this year. From the looks of it, a new iPhone Jailbreak tool called “Limera1n” is being created by an infamous hacker. For almost a month now, the rumors had been circulating the net about this new jailbreak being created under the GeoHot domain. The buzz escalated even more with the creation of the website specifically dedicated for limera1n.

The hype comes from recent evidence posted by Geohot regarding his significant progress on the iPhone OS 3.2, the current operating system on the first version iPad. Version 4 of its mobile OS is expected had just been released this summer together with next generation iPhone hardware. Geohot made sizzling news recently when he announced an untethered jailbreak compatible for iPhone OS 3.1.3 and version 4.0.

At present, it remains unknown what the program would consist of. Many are assuming though that limera1n probably relates to unlocking and jailbreaking iPhone 3.1.3 untethered, iPhone 4.0 firmware for the iDevices such as iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Earlier, Geohot had failed to comment on whether this project is rooted from him. However the whois domain record for limera1n points all information to George Hotz including his address and email that match perfectly with blackra1n. On the record, it shows that the last update was done on April 13. Apparently it is the same date when Geohot had jailbroken iPhone OS4 successfully making people think Limera1n is indeed authentic.

Recently though, Geohot writes through his Twitter that his name, address, and all other information are public for anyone’s use. His tools will remain under the Blackra1n. Without a doubt, LimeRa1n proves to be yet another fake.

Despite this known fact, the hacker is still busy working on some things and it won’t be long before he surprises yet again. It is already expected that his tools will be released immediately after the launch of Apple’s 3G iPad or fourth-generation iPhone. The timed release would prevent Apple from closing the exploit used by Geohot and his other intrepid programmers.
